Virus that changes desktop shortcuts?

I saw this on a friend's PC (installed with AVG 9.0). Some desktop game shortcuts were changed automatically to point to non-existing executable. Could this be the work of a virus? AVG didn't report anything. Has anyone seen anything similar? /Why Tea

I have a PC in a remote location. It has an internet connection via it's 3G dongle. At present I use an Autoit3 script to fire up the internet connection at a predetermined time. While this works, it's a little restricting if I need to access the box at other times - or won't need it one day and it is hard-wired to schedule a connection anyway. What I want is... more »

Different Desktops

I would like to run on Windows 7 Pro different desktops. I would like to be able to select a desktop with a different theme, icon size, icon text font, etc. Basically when I hook my laptop up to my flat screen TV I want to be able to use a different desktop. Looking for suggestions?
