his views are quite visible

to start
if you are truly interested in his positions
you should look at his policy overview

http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/ObamaBlueprintForChange.pdf

but he goes furthur
  giving many detailed position papers
  (links given in the document)

this is in stark contrast to the other candidates
whose policy statements consist mostly of platitudes
and fit on brief web page summaries

you can also learn from the candidates initiatives

well
at least obama had a number of initiatives
he helped develop during his term

the other candidates cosponsored other's initiatives
but didn't seem to have any burning desire for their own

coburn-obama
specifically looking to bring transparency to government
by publishing transactions on the internet
is a great example of obama's policy positions
which tend to be very targeted and fiscally responsible

he seems to be drawing wide policy support
  both from the antiwar crowd
who despise the human rights violations of our aggressions
  and the fiscal conservatives
who see the war as a waste of government funds

besides his detailed and principled positions
which tend to draw those who study policy
he also has a natural charisma and great oration
drawing in those looking for something more ephemeral

so far
he has only gained in approval
the more people learn of him and his positions

there does seem to be a few who have tried to plant this
  "he has no substance"
virus around
but it always ends up looking very comical
since they can never really point to substance
from any of the other candidates
but there is plenty to show of obama's

i'm sure this has something to do
  with why he is winning
