Subject: Animated marker blinking in Firefox
Hello,
Does anyone know by chance why a marker I am animating on a map is blinking in Firefox (and possible other browsers) and not in IE? My animation does show the marker in the new position then immediately removes the marker from the old position. Here is the map: http://www.n2yo.com Is there a known issue with Mozilla or I am doing something wrong? Thanks, You must Sign in before you can post messages.

Hi
It's probably just the way the browser redraws things. Since your - get rid of the marker, use a absolutely positioned graphic on top of Peter You must Sign in before you can post messages.

This is great, thanks! I too was having this problem. I thought it was
the HTML I was passing to the infowindow, but it was even happening when I was using Mike Williams' example code! 'Fixed'. Hurrah. You must Sign in before you can post messages.

Subject: Triggering a HTMLWindow to display from off the map
Having a few problems getting a HTMLWindow on a marker to display from
a function that is not on the map. Function is: function show_marker(lng, lat) { for (var i =0; i<map.overlays.length; i++) { if (lng == map.overlays[i].point.x && lat == { GEvent.trigger(map.overlays[i], 'click'); } } } It matches long and lat but fails on the GEvent trigger. Thanks in advance for any help Gerard You must Sign in before you can post messages.
