No reason I can think of to justify such indifference.  ?????????

Actually, thinking back, my memory is a tad hazy- the joys of
pregnancy don't you know: short and long term memory are affected...
Probably explains why we keep having children and going through "I
don't remember feeling THIS bad" with each subsequent child.
I called a local toxicity line run from a hospital- somewhat akin to
the poison lines, but pertaining particularly to hazards with
pregancies from household cleansers to industrial sources o' worry.
Very helpful, I must say.  Even told me that there had been little
survey done on the desireablility of continuing hepB vaccination
series whilst breastfeeding- while its not contraindicated, there is
also little-to-no proof of it being safe either.

No problem.  I forgot to mention what I would hope would be obvious is
that the body and mentality changes immensely whilst pregnant.
Certain locations are a really bad idea to get tatooed, in particular
the hips, ankles, breasts, waist and belly <duh!>

Thanks for the info....I have two and they are guaranteed for life so I
wasn't really concerned about the fading but what would actually cause the
fading.  I do plan to get another one but I am going to wait till after.

Hi, I've done speeches on tattoos and from what I've read and what I
understand, the tattoo shouldn't affect you any differently whether or
not you are pregnant.  Of course, you don't want to go to some sleezy
place in a dark alley no matter what.  And no, I do not believe that
hormones cause tattoo ink to fade.  At least none of the three that I
have have faded.  :)

Clarification:  the original question was whether or why one
should wait a year to get pregnant after getting a tattoo, not
vice versa. :)

waiting to see what will happen.  So far the yucks are coming back mildly
so maybe it won't be bad enough for anything else.  The crying is getting
better so maybe there was a connection.  Will have to wait and see. . .

Thanks for all the support - this group is great!

web sites/ other sources for information?

Thanks.

My cousin who is pregnant will undergo some examination for a biophysical
profile. She doesn't know what it really is, and how important is it? Is
it harmful for the child? Does anyone know? Thanks. BTW, I tried to look
up the term by netsearch and glossary, but I couldn't find it. If you
know a homepage with that information, please give me the address of the
homepage.
