brighter and more quickly on bad fundamentals - or good fundamentals
in cases of upside panics (bubbles)
This is true about all markets - not just those involving stocks/bonds/
futures - but also autos, software, widgets, etc.

I'm sure others can explain it better, but when you short you borrow
shares and sell them. what does the lender get out of it? Well, you
don't get to borrow the shares for free.
