Looking for this switch (Midas Venice solo switch)
I'm repairing a Midas Venice mixing console. Try and avoid doing so. It's a nightmare Despite the agent's tech insisting that the 'solo' switches are 'self cleaning', no amount of exercising them will prevent 2 of them behaving intermittently. They are pcb vertical mount types, i.e. the control surface is a series... more »

Roland HP-860 electronic piano has HUM
Hi. I recently bought a 2nd-hand Roland HP-860 electronic piano (88-key, analogue). It has a louder hum than the piano notes. I'd like to fix it myself. I have been learning electronics most of my life & I'm in the 3rd year of Electronics Trades at TAFE NSW (Australia). I've removed the plug from the final stage PCB (Revo board), and the... more »

User Manual for Universal Laser Systems series 1700
Hi again, This was built around 1992 and ULS no longer have information on it. I am making progress refurbing it, but could really use a manual for programming the output of this marking system. It is pretty complicated to do by trial and error. Thanks in anticipation Dave

Bad DLP Ballast?
Me again with this miserable Zenith DLP TV. I made a post about this about a month ago regarding lamp replacement, I was able to do it successfully and returned it to the customer. A few weeks later the customer brought it back, this time with a different symptom; the set tries to power but makes a... more »

Help Question: Electronic stethoscope danger
Hello...a quick question looking for a good suggestion/solution/answer, 1) I have a small rural nursing school; 2) I have a $500 electronic stethoscope (micro-battery powered) that can hear/play/record sounds using an I-Pod by using a direct wire/plug into the I-Pod external microphone jack; 3) I-Pod sounds are very weak and you have to be within inches to hear the sound... more »
